Not Quite Quilting

This project is not made with traditional patchwork quilt techniques, but reversible pojagi seams. There is no lining - it is only one layer of fabric.

FAQ

  • What kind of patchwork is this?

This patchwork is done with a modern pojagi seam. The seams are finished on both sides with no raw edges exposed. The result is a piece that is totally reversible with no backing or batting.

  • How do I sew those strips of black fabric?

Surprise! There is no black fabric used in this project. The stained glass effect comes from the easy seam technique.

  • How big is the window hanging?

This piece is about 30" x 24", but you can be creative and adapt this pattern to whatever size you want. There is a lesson full of inspiration for different options.

  • What kind of fabric is used?

Any fabric can be used, but batik fabric is reversible and gives it a beautiful glow.
